How are Builders Cares projects funded? As a non profit organization BC accepts monetary donations, volunteer labor and donated building materials - weaving them together to provide low to no cost construction for the most fragile compelling cases. Our clients, who can afford to purchase services, pay BC to be their contractor because they are interested in obtaining high quality construction services at a fair price from a reliable respectable contractor. Proceeds from these projects are used to fund projects for the less fortunate. There are grants available through BC to those who cannot afford construction services by traditional means. When available, grants are provided through the City of Jacksonville Housing and Neighborhood department. Reverse mortgages are available through reputable national organizations such as Bank of America. A reverse mortgage is a good strategy to use the equity in a home to perform necessary repairs and to fund other living expense while not paying monthly payments.
NEFBA is the Northeast Florida Builders Association founded in 1944. NEFBA members are concerned and involved citizens of our community with diverse talents and resources. Builders Care is the Association's community service initiative, allowing its member's construction skills to be utilized for the good of the community. |
