| Pulte Homes Workday - July 14, 2008 | ||
Eighty employees from Pulte Homes came dressed in shorts and tee shirts for their Builders Care workday that began at 7:30 a.m. Everyone was split into teams, and they worked on homes owned by Eva Burks, Nona Freeman and Beatrice Johnson. All three are elderly citizens of Jacksonville, and are unable to make home repairs on their own. Employees from Pulte Homes painted, moved in furniture, cleaned up all three front yards, shined windows until they were gleaming and streak free. Many employees told the Builders Care staff how much they enjoyed giving back. Some even admitted that it was their first time painting; however that did not stop them from doing a great job. Pulte Homes Division President Brian Paul said the Builders Care workday was such a positive experience and can't wait to do it again. "I received a great deal of positive feedback from the employees. They were very excited about the event, and afterwards explained that they want to work on more projects," said Paul. He also said that the Builders Care experience was very easy for them to get involved in, which was very nice.
